This is when it all got a little messy. Lots of big things turned up, all looking for a home. The sink (enormous and heavy), the worktops (enormouser and heavier) and an oven. Why two ovens didn't turn up is still a matter of confusion, on account of them having been ordered at the same time from the same supplier. Still, one was better than none. More cabinets appeared too, to finish off the mega stacks.

Also, the router packed up. Inconvenient when you're planning on using a router to finish the edges of worktops. Typically this happened on a Sunday morning when most shops are closed or only stock 1/4" tidly things. In the end it was a great excuse to raz into Bath's Travis Perkins in the Z4, roof down and sun shining.

The room became very messy, sawdusty and loud very quickly, perhaps unsurprisingly on account of the amount routing which went on. It was all very exciting to see it rise out of the dust.

Some excellent Ikea cabinet hacking went on too, to hold the overly large and heavy sink. What to do when your sink is 100cm wide but the biggest unit you can buy is 80cm? Some additional cabinet pieces bulked out the sides, leaving holes which were a perfect width for chopping boards made from worktop scraps, almost like it had been planned.
