Hannah, on a trip back to the UK, made her inaugural visit to the Old School House. Billed as a sightseeing trip to the Cotswolds and catch-up with her sister, it didn't take too long for the house to get its claws into her. It was a flapping piece of wallpaper what did it. Hanging, dangling, tempting and just yearning to be torn off the wall.
Much like Pringles, once you start with wallpaper you just can't stop. Especially with old paper. The glue dissolved and weakened allows the paper to be rent from the walls without too much resistance. The girls, a scraper apiece and wielding a steamer set to and blitzed the dining room in 24 hours.
Whether it's an improvement or not we aren't sure yet but it's certainly a good job well done! Hopefully the electrician will appreciate the clarity when he comes to re-wiring.
